Uber is available in Tepic and can take you to the top of the main road leading to Cerrito Encantado. However, due to the distance, we don't recommend it as it can be costly. If you do want to travel using ride share, please note that if they are driving a low clearance vehicle we recommend the driver doesn't drive down steep entrance. The prices for Uber rides are subject to the app's rates.
Taxi
You can take a taxi directly from the airport to Cerrito Encantado. Taxi prices start at $3,800 MXN, but it's important to remember that rates may vary.
Bus
You can take the Bus at the Central de Autobuses in Tepic. The average cost of a bus ticket from Tepic to Las Varas is approximately $220 MXN. It is recommended to book your tickets in advance to secure the best prices, as fares tend to increase closer to the travel date.
The bus ride from Tepic to Las Varas takes around 55 minutes on average, with the fastest bus completing the journey in about 42 minutes. The distance between the two cities is approximately 28 miles.
Upon arrival at Las Varas, find a taxi to take you to Altavista. The taxi fare to Altavista is typically between $200-$300 MXN.
